چکیده

Many researchers are attempting to identify drugs that can be repurposed as effective therapies for Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Several recent studies have highlighted epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitors approved use anti-cancer potential candidates repurposing AD therapeutics. In cancer, EGFR target cell proliferation and angiogenesis, in mouse models shown attenuate amyloid-beta (Aβ) pathology improve cognitive function. this review, we discuss the different functions of cancer a dual molecular diseases. addition, describe effects tyrosine kinase (TKIs) on their prospects therapeutic interventions AD. By summarizing physiological AD, review emphasizes significance an important these

The Canonical Wnt Signaling (Wnt/β-Catenin Pathway): A Potential Target for Cancer Prevention and Therapy

Precise regulation of signal transduction pathways is crucial for normal animal development and for maintaining cellular and tissue homeostasis in adults. The Wnt/Frizzled-mediated signaling includes canonical and non-canonical signal transduction pathways. Upregulation or downregulation of the canonical Wnt-signaling (or the Wnt/β-Catenin signal transduction) leads to a variety of human diseas...

Stathmin is a potential molecular marker and target for the treatment of gastric cancer.

OBJECTIVE This study is to investigate the expression levels of stathmin in tissues of gastric cancer, and evaluate the therapeutic effects of stathmin antisense oligodeoxynucleotide (ASODN) and/or docetaxel in human gastric cancer cells. METHODS Immunohistochemistry was performed to detect the expression levels of stathmin in gastric cancer and adjacent tissues. Stathmin ASODN was transfecte...

Study of NGEP expression in androgen sensitive prostate cancer cells: A potential target for immunotherapy

Background: Prostate cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths among men. New gene expressed in prostate (NGEP), is a prostate-specific gene expressed only in normal prostate and prostate cancer tissue. Because of its selective expression in prostate cancer cell surface, NGEP is a potential immunotherapeutic target. To target the NGEP in prostate cancer, it is essential to investig...
